A couple months before Eric was diagnosed, he began to experience clonus, which is overactive reflexes due to damaged nerve pathways. It usually affects the nerves responsible for voluntary movements in the legs, hands, or face. Eric’s clonus is very very active to this day, mainly in his legs.

In the video above, you can clearly see how much it was affecting his left leg, if he lifted his heel off the ground even just a bit, his leg would bounce uncontrollably, and couldn’t stop it unless he put his foot down.
